From Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE), you can take a 17 minute hopper flight (surcharge) to the San Pedro Air Strip or you can take a 25-minutes taxi ride (surcharge) to the water taxi terminal in Belize City where you can take a 1 1/2 hour water taxi (surcharge) to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.

Airport Departure Fees are generally included in the airline ticket. Where it is not included in the ticket price, passengers must pay upon departing Departure Fees of US $39.25. This can be paid with Credit Card, US or BZ Cash.
One of the nicest things about visiting Belize it is sub-tropical with an average yearly temperature of 84° F (29°C), it’s always warm, yet comfortable. Costal sea breezes keep you cool even in the hottest summer . Humidity is also fairly consistent at around 85 percent. Belize’s dry season is between February and May and has significantly lower rainfall than the rest of the year. When it does rain, it is usually in mild, short bursts.
The Belize dollar is locked at $2 Belize = $1 USD. The USD is also widely accepted in Belize.
Majors credit cards such as VISA and MasterCard are also widely accepted, though some small pocket cash money is recommended for purchases at local vendor stands, or small local restaurants.
English is the official language in Belize, though Spanish and Kriol are widely spoken.
